Our kumu do more than teach—they inspire, guide, and uplift the next generation of ʻōiwi leaders. For Kumu Appreciation Week, haumāna from across our three campuses and preschools share heartfelt messages of mahalo for the kumu who have shaped their learning journeys. From ʻike Hawaiʻi to hands-on learning and everyday encouragement, our kumu help us grow in knowledge, culture, and aloha. Mahalo nui e nā kumu for your wisdom, your patience, and your unwavering belief in our haumāna. 💙🤍

Lei are woven expressions of aloha, each one carrying intention, emotion, and connection. From the gathering of pua and lāʻau to the thoughtful weaving of each strand, the making of lei is an act of aloha. And whether worn in celebration or given in gratitude, lei strengthen our pilina between ʻāina and each other. Aloha Lā Lei! #LāLei #MayDayIsLeiDay #IMuaKamehameha
