Ka ‘ohana o Ke Kula ‘o Kamehameha is invited to participate in the 13th Festival of Pacific Arts & Culture (FestPAC), the largest celebration of Pacific Islanders, which will be hosted for the first time ever in Hawaiʻi, from June 6-16, 2024.
Kamehameha Schools is proud to partner with Hawaiʻi’s leaders to host artists, cultural practitioners, scholars and officials from nations across the Pacific for this year’s event, entitled “Ho‘oulu Lāhui: Regenerating Oceania.”
FestPAC has been held every four years since 1972 to celebrate the shared cultural heritage of Indigenous Pacific Islanders and to foster understanding and collaboration. This year’s festival will highlight traditional crafts, arts and performances at events around Oʻahu, including on ʻĀina Pauahi.
Kamehameha Schools is supporting the Festival Village at the Hawaiʻi Convention Center, which will serve as the event’s hub and showcase the amazing diversity, culture and craftsmanship of Pacific Islanders. In addition, we are collaborating with a delegation of haumāna to host a three-day symposia to encourage critical discussions about the successes, struggles and future of our collective Moananuiākea journey.
