Jeremy Shorenstein

Planning and Development Manager II

Jeremy Shorenstein is responsible for managing long-term community development plans and projects for Kamehameha Schools assets in Mō‘ili‘ili, Waiawa, and Kāhala — ensuring mission alignment, fiscal sustainability, and cultural relevance.

Jeremy previously held the position of Senior Development Manager at Brookfield Properties Development. There, he successfully oversaw the design and entitlement of the Ala Moana Plaza Project, a remarkable 581-unit mixed-use residential tower situated within the Ala Moana Shopping Center, and supported the completion of Līlia Waikīkī, a 454-unit residential mixed-use project including 45,000 SF of grocery-anchored retail one block from Waikīkī Beach.

His past experience includes work as an Investment Associate for Tradewind Capital Group where he was responsible for managing real estate acquisitions, asset management, and joint-venture investments.

Engaged in community service, Jeremy plays an active role on the Property Committee for the Hawai‘i and Pacific Islands Division of The Salvation Army. Furthermore, he serves as the Co-chair of the Government Affairs Committee for the Hawai‘i Region of the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties (NAIOP). Jeremy is a dedicated committee member of NAIOP Developing Leaders as well as the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Young Leaders. Notably, he has earned a spot in the prestigious 2023-2024 Pacific Century Fellows program.

Jeremy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of San Francisco and holds a Certificate in Construction Management from the University of California, Berkeley. 

During his spare time, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters, surfing, watching international rugby, and discovering new specialty coffee roasters.
