Upper Campus

• Kōnia: Named after Princess Pauahi's mother Laura Kōnia, this 2-story building hosts the majority of our 11th and 12th grade classrooms.
• Midkiff Learning Center: Named after Frank Elbert Midkiff, President of Kamehameha Schools from 1923 to 1934, this Learning Center provides resources, staff, and facilities to support world-class teaching and learning. The learning center houses the library, which includes the Hawai‘i/Pacific Collection, Kamehameha Schools Archives, Student Production Center, Video Production Studio, and the student publications Ka Na‘i Aupuni (the yearbook) and Ka Mō‘ī (the school newspaper).  
• ʻAkahi: The ʻAkahi Dining Hall is a place where students and kumu can build pilina over nutritious and ‘ono food. In addition to daily specials, a variety of buffet options are available including make-your-own bars for salad, saimin, sandwiches and yogurt. Check out the weekly lunch menu here.
• Ka‘ahumanu: Located just above Pākī on upper campus, this fitness center has cardio machines, free weights, and an open studio space for group aerobic classes.
• Ke‘elikōlani: Performing arts building which houses a dance studio, choral room, band & orchestra rooms, theatre stages, and an auditorium.

• Pākī: Named after Princess Pauahi's father, Abner Pakī, this 3-story building hosts the majority of our 9th and 10th grade classrooms.
• Kapoukahi: This technology building provides the space and tools for students to prototype, build, and create.

Recreational facilities

• Kekūhaupi‘o: Named after the fierce warrior Kekūhaupi‘o, Kamehameha‘s trainer from the age of 12, this gym provides a space for Kapālama‘s student warriors to train and compete at high levels. Kekūhaupi‘o is a 59,270 square foot multi-purpose facility that includes basketball/volleyball courts, a weight room, dance studio, wrestling room, classroom, 6 racquetball courts, locker rooms and an 8,000 square foot multipurpose gym.
• Kalaniopu‘u Swimming Pool: an olympic-sized pool available to all Kapālama students for P.E. programs and sports like Water Polo and Swimming.
• Kūnuiakea Track & Field
• Tennis Courts: Five courts are used for both PE and our Intermediate, JV and Varsity teams.  
• Koai‘a: Named after the revered warrior, mentor and trainer of Kekūhaupi‘o -- Kamehameha the Great‘s teacher and top warrior -- Koai‘a is a three-story building that houses both the athletics and physical education departments. Newly renovated in 2012, the building includes offices and classrooms for both PE and Athletics; boys and girls locker rooms, and rooms for equipment, weights, and general training.
