“Windward Mall is pleased to support the #HIGotVaccinated Month and become a vaccination site,” said Cesar Topacio, general manager of Windward Mall. “Our community’s safety is of the utmost importance to our center, so we are grateful that we can support the Hawai‘i State Department of Health’s vaccination efforts.”

A high percentage of Hawai‘i residents still need to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to reach population immunity and get back to real life — whether that’s reuniting families, getting business back on track, or getting back to in-person school in the fall. A successful #HIGotVaccinated Month will allow Hawai‘i residents to get back to real life safely.

Windward Mall is committed to doing everything it can to protect the community’s health, safety and well-being. The Center continues to monitor the news around COVID-19 and the mandates of public health and the state/local government officials. The health and safety of Windward Mall’s customers, employees and community remain a top priority. The Center will continue to take extra precautions and follow cleaning and disinfecting guidelines as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization, including:

•    Higher frequency of cleaning and disinfecting the Center;
•    Making hand sanitizers available throughout the Center; and
•    Reminding visitors of the importance of personal hygiene.

Windward Mall plays a key role in its community and continues to be in compliance with state and county authorities. Signs have been posted outside and throughout the Center informing patrons that they should wear CDC-recommended face coverings, avoid entering businesses if they have a cough or fever or otherwise do not feel well, maintain a six-foot distance from one another, and not shake hands or engage in unnecessary physical contact.
