Windward Community College Art Exhibition

KS Kapālama High School English teacher and poet Richard Hamasaki has organized an art exhibition entitled “Down on the Sidewalk in Waikiki” featuring artwork inspired by the late Native Hawaiian poet Wayne Kaumualii Westlake.

The exhibit includes pieces by KSK High School visual arts teachers Jan Becket and Carl Pao and KS alumni including Pao, Kauka de Silva, Kupaa Hee, Kapulani Landgraf, and Cory Taum.

The artwork is on display through July 3 at Windward Community College’s Gallery ‘Iolani, adjacent to the campus’ Palikū Theatre. Gallery hours are from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
