For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.- Romans 8:18

Throughout life, there are tough challenges. It is truly up to you to decide the outcome. Life in general is sometimes hard, but throughout it, take time to just step back and realize that we all have one life, and it is our first time living it. We are all learning and trying new things constantly. Give yourself more credit and be confident in yourself. A personal experience that I want to talk about is my struggle with school. My whole life, I have never been top of my class or really understood school. I have struggled with learning and motivation to learn since elementary school. Struggling with school goes a lot deeper than just not doing good in school. It affected my family and even how I felt about myself. There were some really low moments where I just wanted to give up, but my main message or lesson for the person reading this is that life goes on. Pain is temporary. Romans 8:18 tells us, “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” This verse has gotten me through so much throughout my life. I share this verse with any and everyone who ever comes to me for help.

I have found help through God. Attending Kamehameha Schools Maui was probably the best thing for me. Christian Ed was perfect for me, I got to learn about God, and it was a class that was easy, and I enjoyed. During my time at Kamehameha Schools Christian Ed is my favorite class, not only because it was an easier class, but I didn't have to think during class I just listened and learned about God and how to keep my faith. My goal while I further my education is to keep my faith and carry it with me wherever I end up.

Finally, I would also like to thank Kamehameha Schools for all they have done for me and thank all of my teachers and peers. The short time I have been here has changed me for the better. Mahalo, mahalo, mahalo.
