Highlights from Moananuiākea: Pacific Conversations and Cultural Exchange

From June 11-13, Kamehameha Schools, in partnership with KS Kaiāulu, Kanaeokana and Kaiwakiloumoku, hosted Moananuiākea: Pacific Conversations and Cultural Exchange at the 13th Festival of Pacific Arts & Culture. The three-day conference series offered a unique experience for festivalgoers, showcasing Pacific lifestyles, arts and discourse. With keynote speakers like Pwo navigator Nainoa Thompsom and musican Josh Tatofi, audiences were engaged in conversations around identity, traditions and climate change. FestPAC 2024 was a two-week celebration with over 500,000 attendees participating in activities like a waʻa welcoming, mākeke, fashion shows and dance performances across Oʻahu.
